The weekend kicked off with SuZee playing a solo show for Rural Aid down in flood affected Broadwater, NSW, followed by Battle of the Bands in Fortitude Valley, Qld.
Broadwater Community Event
On Friday 24 June, SuZee headed down to Broadwater to play a 3-hour set for farmers and members of the region, who all ventured to the Broadwater Community Centre where SuZee played a mix of originals and covers including lots of crowd favourites. It was a fantastic evening with a great turn out from the locals. It was a successful event for all.
The Richmond Valley was devastated by floods not once, but twice in early 2022. Rural Aid is a charity that provides disaster assistance to farmers and farming communities. It was awesome to contribute to such an important cause. To donate to Rural Aid, head to their website: www.ruralaid.org.au
Battle of the Bands 2022!
Backing up Sunday 26 June, SuZee Mack competed in The Sound Garden's 2022 Battle of the Bands, hosted by Rooster Entertainment. It was a great evening of talented bands and we are stoked to announce we came third place!
With only 30 minutes of playing time, we had to showcase the best of our repertoire!
Playing songs from our recently released EP See You Next Tuesday, we kicked off with upbeat and ever popular You Can't Judge A Cougar By Her Camel Toe, which gained a lot of laughs from the audience.
We then moved into the classics Easy, Love You Left Behind, and debut single Man of My Dreams before slowing it down a little with mellow Haunted and wrapping it up with Forget About Me and our usual finale Everything I Needed.
Some photos are included below and the show was live streamed onto our Facebook page. Catch it here.
