It is with great sadness that we share that our beloved bass player, Evan, has decided to hang up his epic slap and will be finishing up with SuZee Mack in April, after more than 7 years with us.
Ev is a seasoned guitarist, but when the bass position became available in 2015, he diversified and transitioned so swiftly, we thought he’d been bullshitting us the whole that he’d never played bass.
He came on the New England tour 2020, he contributed to our debut EP, See You Next Tuesday (including the epic slap you hear on Man of my Dreams), he still played with SuZee for the Sound Garden gig when Eireann and Neil had COVID, and was our first blog on our website (go check out his top 5 bassists). He’s been the provider of many laughs, lots of useless (?) historical facts and Lord of the Rings, Seinfeld and South Park references and he’ll be sorely missed around the jam room. (Oh and his precision with Master of Puppets on acoustic guitar is incredible… just thought we’d throw that in there…)
We wouldn’t let him go without a great send off. So we’ll be taking up residence at The Bearded Dragon, Tamborine over 29-30 April. Come down and say Goodbye.
With change comes opportunity, and we’ll share in the coming months who will be taking his place… (enter dramatic, mysterious sound effect…)
